How To Get To Wobby Beach

If taking the local ferry service or water taxi: Allow one hour from Sydney (40k’s North) and add at least 30 minutes during peak hour. From Sydney travel north along the Pacific Hwy # 1 & F3 FREEWAY, cross over the Hawkesbury River and immediately take the BROOKLYN exit. Follow sign to Brooklyn and come back over the river a second time, (now on the Pacific Hwy) turn left at sign to Brooklyn, follow road all the way into Brooklyn, the local ferry service is just next to the railway. See timetable below. Park either in the car park next to the ferry service alternatively go further up the road and park up the hill (unlimited parking) and walk back to ferry. Suggest unload car in car park before heading up the hill.

NB: When leaving Brooklyn to return to Sydney, you get to the T intersection out of Brooklyn to the Old Pacific Hwy the sign says "Sydney left and Newcastle right", if you want to go back to Sydney on the freeway you should turn right to Newcastle for approx 1 K then follow signs onto to the freeway to Sydney. The other way (turning) left as signed to Sydney will not take you onto the freeway; it is the Old Pacific Highway and a long and winding road!

PH: Ferry driver direct: 0415274020 or 02 99857566 NB: Advise ferry driver you want him to drop you off at Wobby Beach House NOT the wharf, if he says he does not know it tell him it is the blue house next to Wobby Boat House, with the 4 large pylons and sea pool in front. When you want to be picked up from Wobby Beach House ring the ferry driver direct on his mobile and ask him to “swing by” to pick you up.

Water Taxi:

There are two water taxi services:

First service: It is located right next to the ferry service in Brooklyn, approx $40 one way up to 4 people, essential to book in advance PH: 0410 554 777

Second service; Same directions as above EXCEPT take the Kangaroo Point turn off on Pacific Hwy and follow signs to water taxi. Unload car at the wharf then park car, additional parking is available on the top level, with stairs for easy access to the wharf. Water Taxi is 70.00 one way, up to 4 guests, advance bookings ESSENTIAL.Ph: 0400600111.

Trains:

Run regularly from Central Station to Brooklyn. (Hourly on weekends)Takes 60 minutes from Central.
